On the 7th March, 2018, in conjunction with International Women’s Day, Abee Rugs (The House of Persian Carpets) held an exclusive event for the members of International Women’s Association of Kuala Lumpur (IWAKL) entitled “Carpet Talk”.

Excited members from various countries and culture gathered at the strategic and grand Abee Rugs showroom in the heart of Kuala Lumpur (KLCC), displayed with beautiful collections of oriental carpets of different styles, design and taste.

He walked them through the raw materials used till the process of shaving, spinning and detailed weaving and explaining the intricate designing procedures. Members were awed by the amount of detailed effort, commitment and exquisite skills it requires to produce a magnificent carpet. The beauty of it all is each carpet is unique on its own. There is no other duplicate available.

The groups’ attention was kept focused when he continued to elaborate and showed the different types of materials (silk, wool & cotton) and features of the carpets and it was an eye opener to truly understand how to differentiate the quality and standard of the variety of carpets available.

When one owns a carpet, maintenance care is part of the package.  It is one of the professional services provided by Abee Rugs, apart from washing, repairing, and evaluation. One can enjoy a free trial and consultation service. He adds that the presence of a carpet that is well laid and carefully positioned can effectively and beautifully enhance the ambiance of a living space that adds and individual style to the overall surroundings.

Mr Naseer took the opportunity to briefly introduce the company’s humble beginnings, its range of services, portfolios and encouraging testimonies from customers. The company has also won a number of awards in the entrepreneur’s circle and had been interviewed and featured on local television and business magazines.

Members then participated in a Q&A session that were helpful and the event ended on a delightful note with an exciting lucky draw session and complimentary goody bags for guests to take home.
